MONEY TALKS:
3 Keys to Attract Clients with Mindset Mojo

Article by Elaine Wellman
Philosophy of People
Magazine: Issue #18

Worrying about where your next client is coming from sucks! Your money mindset could be sabotaging your efforts to attract clients.

Here are 3 Keys to Attract Clients with Mindset Mojo:

1) Uncover Your Money Beliefs

What LIES do you tell yourself about money? I only have enough to barely get by. I’m not good with money. People will never pay me more than they are. What stories are edged in your brain from childhood? Money doesn’t grow on trees. Save your pennies. All this negative money talk makes it nearly impossible to bring in abundance and attract high-paying clients.

Explore your deep-seeded BELIEFS about money and come clean with any hard truths you uncover. Then, reframe them into prosperous mantras.

2) Raise Your Money Consciousness

Do you have shame or guilt around money? Many women are conflicted. They feel greedy wanting money and worry they’ll be judged. That creates a block around attracting cash. Dig into your FEELINGS and figure out what that’s about.
MONEY IS A TOOL. It changes things. It makes things possible.

3) Claim What You Deserve

Do you undervalue your services? Many women get stuck in this trap and undercharge for their services. That means working harder to make ends meet. Base your fees on the result and transformation you provide your clients. Here’s a real eye opener.  Your clients are not investing in you! They are investing in themselves … through you. Get over yourself sister! (And that takes the pressure off, too.)

Wealth Building Videos

Do you believe you deserve success?

If deep down you feel like you don’t deserve to have a thriving business and be happy, you’re creating that reality. And if YOU believe it, everybody else believes it too.

When you get clear on your BELIEFS and FEELINGS about money and CLAIM WHAT YOU DESERVE, something kind of miraculous happens. You charge what you’re worth. You attract your ideal clients. You earn more. You work less. You have more fun. Your Money Mojo will take you to the Promised Land!

8 Things No One Tells You About Growing Up...

8 THINGS NO ONE TELLS YOU ABOUT GROWING UP....

Growing UP

Growing UP

Article by Chloe Rain
Philosophy of People
Magazine: Issue #18

What the f am I doing with my life? The 8 things no one tells you about growing up, what makes you special, discovering your life purpose, and being happy...

Ever had one of those moments? Where there's a slow motion montage as you catch yourself in a place or a situation you'd never imagined you'd find yourself and what runs through your head is the question:

"WHAT THE FUCK AM I DOING WITH MY LIFE?"

I bet you've hoped, "There's got to be more to life than this!?!"

The things that "they" don't tell you about growing up, what makes you special, how to discover your life purpose, and what it means to be happy and wealthy....

1 :: The only way to find yourself is to completely lose your way. From where you came everything made sense, to where you're going nothing makes sense… this is life. This is the way.

2 :: When you are lost, the things that worked for your once, will stop working for you. Ever heard the expression, jump and the net will appear? The real story goes a bit more like this: As you jump from the cliff, take the leap of faith, and go for it, you trip, fall, stumble, scuff up your elbows, cut up your hands, grasp, clutch, and scream on the way down, wondering if you're going to survive the fear of the fall.

3 :: You will have to find a new way. Your way. Only you can find this way.

Wealth Building Videos

4 :: People with seemingly good advice and sound ten (or 8) step strategies- are not to be trusted. Chances are, they never had the guts to do the great thing in their life that you're attempting to do, and they're scared of what it means if you accomplish what you’ve set out to do.

5 :: Do not expect perfection. The expectation of perfection, of total security, of knowing all things before they happen, and how your life will unfold, if achieved, would create a state of stagnancy beyond which there is would be NO future growth, and no such state exists.

6 :: True wealth, is an absolute knowing that everything you need is within you.

7 :: The ability to reframe failure and not take yourself so seriously, will be exactly what propels you toward living a more extraordinary life.

8 :: Arriving at your destination is not the point. You will come to learn that fulfillment, life purpose, and happiness is in WHO YOU BECOME as a result of following your heart and discovering you unique destiny.

How to Gain Self-Confidence in 3 Easy Steps

Gain Self-Confidence

Gain Self-Confidence

HOW TO GAIN SELF-CONFIDENCE IN 3 EASY STEPS

Article by Megan Hale
Philosophy of People
Magazine: Issue #18

We could have all the riches in the world, but when we don’t have self-confidence it’s nearly impossible to enjoy our blessings.  We need a shift within.  Self-confidence is a dynamic concept that takes practice, effort, and consistent shifts in how you interact with yourself and the world.

However, you can get started today with 3 easy steps.

Dress Up

Now you may be thinking how shallow does that sound, but there’s magic behind the scenes.  When we dress up (show up) and put on an outfit that makes us feel good about how we look to the world, we also tend to feel better within.  So many of clients have stopped caring about their outer appearance because they’re so unhappy with how they feel inside.  So, get dressed for yourself.  Put in a little extra effort to feel your best and do this consistently.  This sends a strong internal message that you’re worth getting dressed up for.

Stop bashing yourself in public.

There’s a horrible epidemic going around that it’s socially acceptable to put yourself down so that you can be lifted up by others.  This is a no-no when it comes to building self-confidence.  First of all, we need to shift the focus of our attention from others to ourselves.  When we do this, we learn to rely on ourselves more so for our self-esteem and self-confidence.  Secondly, we can drastically shift this pattern so that you’re building yourself up far more than putting yourself down.  Become comfortable sharing your wins.  Keep your losses to a very small group of people you trust.

Holistic Fashionista magazine

Treat your body like the temple it is.

You’d be surprised how much diet and exercise play a role in self-confidence.  When we treat our bodies like a trashcan, we tend to feel lower than if we treated it with the respect it deserves.  You aren’t striving for perfection here, just a strong dose of mindfulness.  Ask yourself, “How do I want to treat my body today?”  “What do I want to feed my body today?”  Bringing more mindfulness to the table is a skill that can be easily transferred to multiple life areas and it all begins with increasing your self-awareness.

5 Ways to Get Motivated To Workout

Get Motivated to Work Out

Get Motivated to Work Out

5 WAYS TO GET MOTIVATED TO WORKOUT

Article by Allison Tibbs
Philosophy of People
Magazine: Issue #18

Are you struggling to stay motivated to working out? Don’t worry; you are not alone, over 80% of people who begin a fitness program, quit within the first 21 days. As a personal trainer and healthy lifestyle coach, here are some tips that I share with my clients to help them get and to stay motivated.

1| Think about WHY you started in the first place:  There is a reason why you decided to start working out and eating healthy. Take some time and write down all of the reasons why you made the decision to get started and read that list on a regular basis.

2| Take Before & Progress Photos: I am not a big fan of the scale, because it doesn’t tell the full story.  Using photos can give you a realistic view of the progress you are making. Keep those photos handy when you are not feeling that you are making great strides.

3| Make a Promise to Yourself:  We tend to bend over backwards to make and fulfill promises to everyone else, but when it comes to ourselves, we often break those promises. Treat yourself with the same respect that you would give to anyone that you make a promise to.  Promise yourself that you will stick with it.

Luxury Business

4| Be Kind When You Fail: Sometimes you will have a few off days, weeks or even months, but don’t let that isolated moment cause you to give up. Think of it as a minor stumble on your journey, not one that will cause you to quit and turn back.  You are human, you are not perfect and no one expects you to be. Get back up and keep pushing.

5| Find an Accountability Partner: When you have someone who knows your goals and will make the commitment to be on this journey with you, there is an added does of healthy pressure to not let your partner down. Find a friend, spouse, family member or co-worker who will help to keep you accountable to your workouts and clean eating meals.

I will be the first one to tell you that it won’t always be easy and you won’t always feel like it, but your life, your future, your health, and the quality of your life, will be greatly affected by how well you consistently take care of yourself.

5 Benefits of Green Smoothies

5 BENEFITS OF GREEN SMOOTHIES

Article by Arooj Ali
Philosophy of People
Magazine: Issue #18

Introducing at least one green smoothie to your day can totally transform your health. Most people don’t get enough leafy greens, and drinking a green smoothie is a great way to get your greens without having to taste or chew them. As part of a healthy balanced diet you could get the following health benefits of green smoothies:

Benefits of Green Smoothies

1 :: They’re Easy

Just choose your fruit and veggies, throw them in a blender, and drink the smoothed mixture. OK, it’s not so easy if you don’t own a blender. In fact, it’s dashed difficult. Ever tried forcing raw spinach through a sieve? If you have a blender, then it takes no more time and effort to make a green smoothie than to drink one!

2 :: They’re Portable

Kept cool and sealed, most green smoothies will stay fresh for 24 hours or more. So with the right container, you can take a chilled green smoothie with you almost anywhere—work, the park, the gym, the train—to keep you refreshed. Glass or stainless steel containers are often suggested as the best storage options, so a vacuum flask might be the way to go if you want to keep your smoothie cool on the move.

3 :: They Fill You Up

If you’re the type of person who feels hungry again half an hour after demolishing a snack, the extra fiber in a green smoothie could be the answer to your appetite. And if you’re dieting, a green smoothie before your main meal of the day will help you feel satisfied with smaller portions. Drinking plain water before a meal helps to fill you up, but the fluid-plus-fiber combination of a green smoothie works even better.

4 :: They Soothe Acid Indigestion

If you’ve ever felt the stab of heartburn or acid reflux, you know you’d drink just about anything to make it stop. Next time, try a green smoothie instead of plain water or milk. Green smoothies are naturally alkaline and might help to put out that burning pain in your chest.

5 :: They Trick You Into Being Healthier

Even if you don’t believe a word of the hype about green smoothies, believe this: doing anything that you think of as “healthy” affects the way you feel about yourself and your lifestyle. It gives you a psychological lift that can even bring your physical stress level down a notch or two.

On top of that, one purposely healthy action makes it more likely that you’ll do other healthy things, because the human mind just loves to be consistent. So drink that green smoothie and you’ll feel more inclined to try other recipes or get some exercise, too!

Stop Losing Sleep and Get Back To Making Your Own Music!

STOP LOSING SLEEP AND GET BACK TO MAKING YOUR OWN MUSIC!

Get Back to Making Your Own Music

Get Back to Making Your Own Music

Article by Cymber Lily Quinn
Philosophy of People
Magazine: Issue #18

Are you lying awake at night? Having trouble getting to sleep? Staying asleep? Getting decent sleep?

Is is because you know you’re supposed to be making music, and you’re not? Your guitar is gathering dust? Your piano sits silent? You are not alone, and there are some things you can do to get back to making music right now.

1| Breathe. Breathing is one of the fastest ways to get your body to relax and allow you to both sleep and think better. Your intuition and muse can also come through more easily
when your body has enough oxygen, and you are breathing freely.

Take 10 breaths through your nose and out your mouth...go on...do it now...I’ll wait.
Really, it only takes a moment.

2| Rest while you are awake. Even if you are not sleeping, you can still rest and relax. And
lying down and being horizontal helps the body restore and heal itself. I count any time I am lying down as “sleeping,” even if I am awake. I focus on my breath when I am lying down.

Wealth Building Videos

Give it try, right now. Lie down (even on the floor) just for a few moments, and take 10
breaths. Ahhh, that’s better.

3| Use your voice to help you relax. Humming is one of the great free stress reducers. If
you find yourself lying awake, and having a whiny argument with someone in your head,
try humming it instead. Hum the sounds of the argument until you start laughing.

Go on...hum all of that whiny stuff out. This usually takes 13 minutes. No, really...I’ll wait. Hmmm, hmmm, hmmm…

Article by Heather Rae Mitchell
Philosophy of People
Magazine: Issue #18

1| The Not So Little Black Dress

This is your WOW piece, a simple dress that fits your curves in all the right places. Get away from wearing the little black dress and try a bold pink with a simple and subtle pattern or a stunning red. This would be perfect for holiday and party style.

The Right Shape - Find your smallest part and let the dress show off your curves.

The Right Size - If the fit is too tight or too loose it can be unflattering. The goal is to show off your body’s strongest  features.

2| The Perfect Legging

Nothing is worse than feeling uncomfortable in the clothing you’re wearing during long travel and late nights with family and friends. The perfect legging can add comfort while being flattering and stylish.

Length – You want to make sure the legging isn’t too short. A good universal legging should come to your ankle and be slim enough to wear a boot with. Having a zipper at the ankle is always a great option and allows you to wear the legging with flats as well as boots.

Material - Make sure the legging is thick enough and not transparent when stretched over your body, but be careful it isn’t too thick where you feel like your wearing scuba gear.

Height on the Waist - An important goal is to always make sure that you are flattering your body. Make sure it hits a flattering part on your body.

The Art of Exfoliation: 3 Tips to Obtain Glowing Skin

THE ART OF EXFOLIATION: 3 TIPS TO OBTAIN GLOWING SKIN

Obtain Glowing Skin

Obtain Glowing Skin

Article by Leah Vautrot
Philosophy of People
Magazine: Issue #18

Just as a snake sheds it's skin, we must shed our past over and over again. - Buddha

Whether or not this is an actual Buddha quote, shedding your skin and the past decisions you've made that affected it is necessary.  Exfoliation is often touted as a simple way to purify pores, combat aging and clear up skin. While exfoliation does achieve these results many people over exfoliate and exacerbate their skin issues or create new ones in the pursuit of clear, youthful skin. Done properly exfoliation can reveal a more radiant you. Here are our tips for perfect exfoliation.

WHEN should you be exfoliating?

2 to 3 times a week. Every day is too much. Exfoliation should gently remove the build up of dead skin cells and promote balanced oil production for a glowing complexion.  Excessive exfoliation causes your skin to play catch up creating excess oil and possible breakouts, redness could also appear. Too little exfoliation and skin can appear dry and lackluster. Your face should never hurt afterwards and if you're exfoliating and still breaking out it's likely you need to scale back the days that you exfoliate.

HOW should you exfoliate?

Start with moistened skin and using your fingertips gently rub in a counterclockwise motion. The key to any facial product application is upward strokes. Complete the counterclockwise movement while scrubbing no more than 3 times before moving to the next area of your face. Be sure to steer clear of the delicate eye area.

Holistic Fashionista magazine

WHAT ingredients should you be exfoliating with?

There are many wonderful natural ingredients to be used for exfoliation. You can easily DIY with a very fine salt (powder fine) mixed with raw honey for normal to oily skin. Brown sugar and olive oil is another great DIY gentle exfoliant for normal skin. A facial scrub using nuts or oats or both is a very lubricating scrub for dry skin, like our Small Batch Face Scrub.

Congratulations you are now well versed in the Art of Exfoliation. Go forth and shed.
