“Hatred paralyzes life; love releases it. Hatred confuses life; love harmonizes it. Hatred darkens life; love illuminates it.” ~ Martin Luther King Jr.,

Reflections on the Orlando tragedy and love winning over hate.

I see rainbows all over Facebook, on the Eiffel tower, in the streets of London and rainbow flags peppered throughout the U.S.

As an artist, color has a huge impact on my mood, my choices and my world.

With the tragedy of Orlando, Florida and the frequent chaos we live with, I encourage you to find your color of love and let it paint your world and lift you, your loved ones and those around you up.

What is the color of love?

For some it is Red – fiery yet pure, filled with hearts and roses... sometimes intense but always courageous.

For some it is Violet – luxurious, exotic, spiritual and vibrant. It is amethyst and irises and fields of lilacs.

For some it is Blue – Calming, cool and reflective ... it is the deep sea and the sprawling sky.

For some it is Green – Reassuring and refreshing, wealthy and healthy ... it is emerald forests, fertile and lush.

For some it is Yellow – optimistic and confident, the joy of sunshine and light... yellow feels expansive, warm and welcoming.

For some it is Orange – Enthusiastic and fun...succulent citrus and leaves in the fall... it is energy and warmth for your soul.

For some it is Red, Violet, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange... a RAINBOW

What is your color and how can you bring color and light to your life and the world around you?

3 Inexpensive Ways to Unleash Your Inner Style Icon

3 INEXPENSIVE WAYS TO UNLEASH
YOUR INNER STYLE ICON

Written By: Eyenie Schultz     Photo Credit: Dasha and Mari

OK, so first things first: Let’s go ahead and accept that you’re a Visionary! You’ve up to HUGE things in this world, you’re changing lives, and building an empire.

If you think about it, you’ve likely done a ton of inner work on mindset, wealth consciousness, and I would bet that you’ve devoured loads of self-realization, business, health and new age books.

This means you’re constantly expanding and growing and elevating yourself on so many levels! And sometimes, it can take awhile for part of us – like what we wear – to catch up.

One of the easiest ways to raise your vibration and start acting like the woman you know you’re destined to be is to dress the part! It’s visual, immediate and tangible! Plus, it usually comes with oodles of accolades and compliments, which isn’t what we’re after, but it sure is welcome, am I right?!

So, here are 3 ways you can start dressing like the ICONIC Visionary you are, using what you have already:

1.)    Figure out what you actually like, instead of wearing what you think you should wear. Buy a few magazines and rip pages out to build a collage of ideas and inspiration. Start a Pinterest board and go nuts with keywords of things you dig and see what materializes for you. Spend an hour at a coffee shop just people watching and see what and who draws your attention and why. Even go to some dreamy stores and allow yourself to try some stuff on to see how it feels. Guaranteed, it will expand your horizons!

2.)    Get rid of anything in your closet that makes you feel how you don’t want to feel – whether it brings up memories, doesn’t fit anymore, or is just not something you reach for. Clearing out makes room for more of what you do want – ideas, inspiration and even clothes!

3.)    When you’re getting dressed in the morning, ask yourself, “What would Dream Me wear today?!” and choose what you wear from that space. You’ll notice yourself taking more risks, exploring and taking things to that next level more easily!

Doing these regularly will keep you open to what’s possible for you, and you’ll be strutting your ICONIC Style in no time flat!

How to Get a Luxe Wardrobe For Less

HOW TO GET A LUXE WARDROBE FOR LESS
[Top 3 Outlet Sites for Designer Discounts]

Luxe Wardrobe for Less

Luxe Wardrobe for Less

ATTN, READ FIRST: This article is NOT meant to perpetuate a ‘poor-girl’ mentality, or a mindset of fear and lack of money. We are not about that! We are about abundance in all areas of life and being loving towards money. This is about being smart with your money and strategic as to when to splurge and when to save. Ok, now that is cleared up…

YOU DON’T HAVE TO BUY LUXURY GOODS AT FULLPRICE! Have you ever said, ‘those jeans cost how much?!’ Don't worry, they will go on sale. With the exception of a few select brands, such as Louis Vuitton, most designer brands go on sale. Note though, iconic looks from some designers will be tough to find on sale, such as a pair of Valentino Rockstud heels or a trench from Burberry. For classic, timeless wardrobe pieces I suggest to take the plunge and make the investment. You may even find that after you invest in yourself, an elevated and more positive mindset follows. Remember, abundance loves people that operate with high levels of awareness and have a positive energy flow.

Fashion is moving at such a rapid pace so sales come around quickly and there are lots great outlet-type online retailers, so it’s pretty easy to score some sweet deals. You just need to know where to look, to that end, here are a few of our favorite sites to swoop up a designer score!

1: THE OUTNET
2: YOOX
3: GILT

5 Dating Tips for Guys Who Want to Date a Holistic Fashionista

5 DATING TIPS FOR GUYS WHO WANT TO DATE FEMALE ENTREPRENEURS

Article by: Karyn Sundin

Dating Tip #1: Be Creative

Be Creative. It’s the little things that will make you stand out. This starts with picking a spot outside of the box. Put in the effort. What does she like? Be thoughtful. If she's into decor, take her to a flea market. If she has pups, go hiking then day drink somewhere with an outdoor patio.  You’re a dude that’s not lazy and pays attention…A+

Dating Tip #2: Be a Southern Gentleman

Be a “Southern Gentleman” (or Read the Art of Manliness) Manners! Please and thank you! This tip alone will have her swooning over you to her girlfriends you haven't even met yet. Bring her an orchid, rose, fern, a magazine, toy for her dog, doesn't matter. Dress up a little, open doors, PAY, get your phone off the table, be a gentleman. If you want a lady, you have to treat her like one.

Dating Tip #3: Drink Like a Man

Drink like a Man Men drink scotch and they drink bourbon.  The cost of the bottle isn’t important. Single malts tend to be a bit more than blends. Glenfiddich is always a safe bet for scotch and Old Grandad is a great inexpensive bourbon option. Most bars/restaurants have bourbon specialty drinks that are far from wimpy.

“The proper drinking of Scotch whisky is more than indulgence: it is a toast to civilization, a tribute to the continuity of culture, a manifesto of man’s determination to use the resources of nature to refresh mind and body and enjoy to the full the senses with which he has been endowed.” – David Daiches

Dating Tip #4: Quit Complaining

In a time when it’s "cool" to be a pseudo- intellectual hipster who hates so much of everything, stand out by loving so much of everything. Negativity is lame & ordinary.  Celebrate you, your foibles. Be authentic and do it with confidence….it’s ok to get a little naughty.

Dating Tip #5: Stop Talking and Listen

Stop Talking and Listen. The date isn't just about you! She's probably very interesting. Listen to her! Humility is one of those slowly dying traits that women are mourning without realizing it. Showing off your swagger is overrated, being humble is a lost art. Own it.

8 Ways to Leave An Impression

8 WAYS TO LEAVE AN IMPRESSION

8 Ways to Leave An Impression

8 Ways to Leave An Impression

The quick impression we leave behind, intentionally or unintentionally, helps those around us form an opinion.  Perhaps they only get the glimmer of us when they meet us, a shell of who we are, but it is life.  We're such animals sometimes, aren't we?  So why not have a hand in creating the illusion yourself?

Not that one has to put themselves out there with all the vengeance of a Hallow’s Eve reveler - though that IS a way people DO create illusion once a year - but we all can be a little more conscious of the subtleties we project to the world each day.

1| Use those eyes.

Make eye contact even if all you’re doing is getting directions.

2| Find yourself complaining about a “tragic waistline” or “shapeless arms?”

Play up the other parts of you that are the treasures.  Those amazing hands? Get a manicure.  Long neck? Statement necklace or a long strand of pearls.

3| Dress as if you are going somewhere.

No old bras. No socks with holes. Doesn’t matter if no one will see that item or whether you’re just running to the store (which is as much somewhere as anywhere), you are just trudging along. You are vibrant and alive. You are, aren't you? Energetically, think of it this way... no one gets on the train that's just sitting in the station but the one that's roaring and warming up.

4| Walk as if you are going somewhere with someone fabulous on your arm - You!

Remember early on in Saturday Night Fever when Tony Manero walks down an otherwise busy Brooklyn street with his can of paint?  With every step hitting the pavement, he is IT and he is already THERE.

5| Don't wait for an occasion.

Wear something that makes you feel fabulous; "BE" the occasion just by wearing it.

6| Speak from the heart.

7| Listen.

8| Observe in other people what simple qualities you LIKE about them.

Positivity and openness for others is a good vibe to nurture.

We use the senses to get our bearings amongst the animals in the kingdom. At best, it is a healthy defense mechanism. At worst, it’s profiling or pigeonholing. But it’s always a single color or line… try giving those you meet some of the beautiful, rich grays.

As John Waters says,

Who cares what you think when I entered the room. I only care about what you think about when I leave.

Of course he was talking about why he liked wearing plaid suits. Be the plaid!  lol

Be Spellbinding: Dress With Self-Confidence

BE SPELLBINDING:
DRESS WITH SELF-CONFIDENCE

Dress With Self-Confidence

Dress With Self-Confidence

Article by Camille Ditele

In 1996 researchers Edwards and Hardy published the results of their study of confidence in the Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology and determined that what we suspected was true. Self-confidence is indeed an important predictor of performance.

This spring, as you revive yourself from the aftermath of your divorce, it’s time to wear your new-found confidence with style and pizazz. Move out of the shadows and onto life’s runway with the knowledge that you have come through a difficult time in life, and are now ready to take on the world again. Take the time to study new trends in fashions and lifestyle, an exercise you may have overlooked in the busy years of your marriage. Select which ones fit with your personality and work for you. Will you wear orange as the new black as Elle magazine suggests, or favor dramatic black-and-white combinations? Want to try out the trend towards icy pastels or add some fringes to your accessories?

Spend some time checking out fashion trend sources as well as lifestyle trends. Sites like www.trendhunter.com package all the latest cool things to do conveniently for you. What’s ahead for 2015? How about a renewal in domestic arts.

(all those days of baking cookies for the kids was cool after all), food-sourced getaways, kit culture or a brush with mobile romance?

Having self-confidence is figuring out what works for you and then putting it on with confidence. Who knows where it will all end?

Confidence is simple to describe. It is a state of trust in a person and belief in their powers. Self-confidence is a state of trust in yourself and a belief in your own power. And that’s where it all starts to get complicated.

It appears, looking at scientific research conducted in recent years, that self-confidence is a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you think you can do something, you can. If you are worried that you will fail, you likely will. ♡
