How to Energetically Charge Your Food for Better Health and Digestion

Energetically charging your food is a practice that has been applied all over the world for ages but has since been gaining traction in mainstream lately. Culinary Energy is the practice of integrating energy, intention, prayer and intuitive eating into a ritual practice.

By using these modalities along with chakra balancing foods, physiologically and energetically, our bodies absorb more nutrients and we digest food much more efficiently. Along with better digestion, we develop a healthier relationship with our food as well.

Here is how you can incorporate this ritual into your practice:

1 :: Eat Chakra Balancing Foods

Color plays a huge role in all aspects of our lives and it always comes back to our Chakras. Our food is no different. When you are eating a variety of colored foods you are giving your body the fuel it needs to nourish your soul. When you are trying to focus on a specific area of concern, think about the color of the Charka.

For example: The Root Chakra is correlated with the color Red. Eating tomatoes, strawberries and root vegetables are foods that will heal whatever is ailing you within the Root Chakra region.

2 :: Intuitive Eating

Jumping on the band wagon and going vegan, paleo or keto will not do your body and digestion any favors. These “diets” are not a one-size-fits-all solution. Every soul on this planet is completely different from one another which means the foods we put into our bodies and the times we eat will be too.

“Diets” also put our bodies in a restrictive state with food which can lead to problems with body image and consumption down the road. Instead of listening to everyone else, try going internal and listening to yourself. What does your body want/need? Now, this doesn’t mean eating a whole sleeve of Oreos at 11pm at night, it means slowing down and taking the time to really see what your body is trying to tell you it needs to be nourished. It also means the times your body wants to eat will be different from others as well.

3 :: Pray

This may sound mediocre or even religious but try not to take it that way. All over the planet many different souls believe in many different goddess’/gods. There are plenty of people who are agnostic as well. This is not a time to question what is or isn’t. This is the time to make an intention to your food before consuming it.

It is the time to thank your food for nourishing your body and keeping you healthy. It is about thanking the food for being available to you at times of hardship or times of plenty. It is the time to thank the people who grew, picked and raised this food so that you can be nourished by it. It is time to thank yourself or the person who made this food for you too.

By putting this intention and positive energy into your food, you are giving it love, which in return, your food is loving you back when you are consuming it. You ever wonder why you grandmothers cooking was the bomb? It’s because she put love into it.

4 :: Schedule a session with your fellow Reiki Practitioner

While having a session with your Reiki Practitioner, like The Natural Lass; be aware with how they help move around, clear and heal your energy. They are doing it at a cellular level and your food is doing the same thing if it is blessed prior to eating.

By learning Reiki, you can soon incorporate Reiki energy into everything you do, including blessing food. By placing ancient Reiki symbols onto your food/tea/water and anything you consume, you will notice; at a cellular level how this is changing your body and the way it feels. You will never want to go back.

At the end of the day, when preparing food, tea or water, put the intention of high vibes into it. Bless your food and ask it to help heal you. It always will.
