7 TIPS FOR FINDING YOUR PURPOSE IN LIFE

So, you're unclear on exactly what it is that you're supposed to do in this world. Believe me, I've been there, and I know it's no fun when you KNOW you were always meant for more, but nothing seems to be clicking— or you like a bunch of things, but don't know which one to follow because you want to do them all. It's not a bad thing to be a Jack (or Jane) of all trades, but it does mean that you need to make sure you are taking the time to see one aspect all the way through before moving to the next.

1. Pick one thing.

Focus on the one thing that you're interested in that just won't leave you alone. You know that thing that you can't shake, that practically beats you over the head, like "Hello, I'm right here!"

2. Sit with this thing in quiet time.

I schedule time out of each day for what I call 'transcendental time'. It is just that - Time to step away from all the noise, commune with your higher power, and transcend. I have received so much insight in continuously doing this, that I no longer ever feel stuck. What I get in this time is well beyond what I could have gotten if I didn't make space for quiet.

3. Have patience.

Just because it doesn't work the first time, doesn't mean it won't work! If you're passionate about it, then it's for you. Period. There are seasons and a timing for things. You may need to grow more first in order to receive what is for you. God, the universe, whatever you like to call the higher power, is waiting to see how much you really want it. If you're quick to give up, then why would you be blessed with more?

4. Follow your spirit always.

Easier said than done, I know. But if it's not just a fleeting feeling, and you keep feeling called to do something or move towards a specific thing that you have unconditional passion for, then do it!

5. Find the reasons to say yes.

We've been conditioned to hide our truth, our magic, so you need to find reasons to uncover it. Find the reasons to follow your passions, not the reasons to stay where you are.

6. Make the time to work on it.

Yes, time is minimal, but that's exactly why you should be using it to figure out your life purpose and passion. When you're working on things you truly enjoy, the exhaustion feels entirely different; it feels worth something. (Or maybe that's just me).

7. Find support.

Be sure to surround yourself with supportive people and mentors, even if it's just someone you admire or watch online. It's great to connect with people who have been through what you're feeling and have gotten over that hump. Truth be told, your biggest dream crushers are usually the people closest to you, so branch out.
